JULY 2022
Be Safe – Be Well – Take Care
Be Safe – Be Well – Take Care are a few phrases we may wish upon our family and friends. Staying safe and healthy on the farm is a community effort that calls on family, friends, and coworkers to take the necessary steps to reduce injury and illness. UMASH and Farmfest have joined together to offer a Wellness Pavilion providing safety and rescue demonstrations, wellness checks, and a number of health and wellness exhibitors. This is our third year of offering the Wellness Pavilion, reaching farmers and participants with research-based information and resources.
Farmfest is one of the largest farm shows in the Upper Midwest, with approximately 30,000 attendees for the three-day event. Keeping farmers, families, and farm workers safe and healthy is a priority for UMASH, and we are excited to pack up and head over to Redwood County, MN to bring you the latest ag safety and health information. We will have four live demonstrations featuring proper grain handling, ATV/UTV safety, confined spaces entry, and tractor rollover prevention. These demonstrations are great for teaching youth and adults about the hazards on the farm.
