SPOTLIGHT: Live and Up Close – Farm Safety and Rescue Demonstrations at Minnesota Farmfest

Seeing something live for the first time can have a big impact. Whether it is a positive or negative occurrence, being present can make a difference in how one may think,  feel or react in the future.

This is the goal for the Safety and Rescue Demonstrations at Farmfest 2019. Farm Bureau Financial Services and UMASH have collaborated to bring live demonstrations in an effort for attendees to witness the impact of the dangers associated with farming. These demonstrations can send a powerful message to both adults and youth of how quickly injuries and death can happen on the farm and the importance of prevention.  Trained local firefighters, EMS personnel and farm safety experts will be leading the demonstrations and highlighting safety best practices, which is essential to prevention and putting safety first.

Location

The demo tent will be adjacent to the Farm Bureau Wellness and Safety Pavilion.

The pavilion also includes free health screenings each day and over 20 exhibitors with information on a variety of topics to keep farmers, families and workers safe and healthy on the job. There is something for everyone including:
