The UMASH staff hit the road and got their boots on the ground in Redwood County, MN, for Farmfest 2019, which attracts over 30,000 people every year.

This year (2019) UMASH collaborated with Farm Bureau Financial to bring a new venue to the show. The Farm Bureau Financial Wellness and Safety Pavilion was a joint venture to bring health and safety exhibitors, live safety demonstrations and health screenings to attendees of the show. In addition to working alongside Farm Bureau Financial, UMASH was able to exhibit and share our health and safety tools and information for farmers and their families.

Youth and adults took a spin at the Farm Safety Wheel to answer questions on sun safety, ATV’s, grain bin safety and many other farm safety topics. We shared a space with our partners from the National Children’s Center for Rural and Agricultural Health and Safety and the Great Plains Center for Agricultural Health to make the most of all of our resources.

The Pavilion and the exhibitors were a great addition to Farmfest and brought new and needed information to the agriculture community. All of us, under one roof working to keep farmers and their families healthy and injury free.
