We’ve been holding onto summer, and attended the
University of Minnesota Farmers Market on September 18th.

This event was an enhanced farmers market that highlighted several health and wellness organizations at the University of Minnesota to welcome President Joan Gabel’s and honor her inauguration week. UMASH staff were there to welcome President Gabel: Director Bruce Alexander, Co-director Jeff Bender, Center Coordinator and Outreach Director Diane Kampa, Outreach Coordinator Megan Schossow, and Student Communications Specialist Maria Bertrand.

President Gabel visited with the UMASH and emphasized the importance of work on mental health. We shared our mission and values, partner projects, . President Gabel is a strong advocate for students, and their mental health. In addition, farmers market visitors were interested in talking about stress, handwashing, and animal handling.
