On November 17-18, 2015 UMASH participated in the Midwest Regional Agricultural Safety and Health Conference, held at Decorah, Iowa. This conference included agricultural producers, researchers and other safety and health professionals.
UMASH personnel attending included:
Joni Sheftel, with a Keynote presentation on “What Can We Learn From the Avian Influenza Outbreak?”,
Matt Kiefer with an oral presentation on “A Survey of Wisconsin Dairy Farmers and their Spanish-speaking Workers about Occupational Health and Safety Issues” , and
Ruth Rasmussen with two poster presentations “Public Perceptions of Agricultural Worker Safety: Results from the ‘What’s Behind Your Food?’ Survey” and “Implementing an Ag Safety Pledge to Raise Awareness and Build Stakeholder Engagement” and a UMASH table display for conference attendees to peruse UMASH products and materials.
