The Minnesota Farmers Union State Convention was held the weekend of November 22 – 24, 2019 in Minneapolis.
Megan Schossow and Carol Peterson exhibited at the event for UMASH and joined a number of other agriculturally focused organizations. Events such as this are an opportunity to talk one to one with farmers and their families in addition to networking and learning more about others who support rural communities.
Megan and Carol provided a number of resources with an emphasis on grain bin safety and resources dealing with stress related to farming today. We were able to hear Senator Tina Smith’s remarks and the work she and others are doing on behalf of farmers and agriculture in Washington DC. Working together with Minnesota Farmers Union is a good opportunity to reach farmers first hand
