Jeff Bender, DVM, MS DACVPM, UMASH Co-Director and Carolyn Sheridan, RN, BSN, Clinical Director, AgriSafe Network,  co-taught “Minimizing Transmission of Infectious Diseases During Outbreaks: Public Health Protection for You and Your Workforce” May 23-27, 2016 as part of the Public Health Institute.   This course included discussion on preventing workers from transmitting  diseases to others and/or to other premises.  This course also provided a practical opportunity to become familiar with disinfection principles including field disinfection and the use of different personal protective equipment (PPE) materials.
