The University of Minnesota Alumni Association’s Winter 2020 magazine, Minnesota Alumni, highlighted innovative approaches U of M alumni, students, and faculty are using to improve dental care and mental health support throughout Minnesota. UMASH was featured as a resource for farmers going through stressful times. One UMASH Partner Project in particular was highlighted on the Web Exclusive: “Promoting Smiles” and “Facing Tough Times Together”

The Cultivating Resiliency for Women in Agriculture project is led by two University of Minnesota Alumni and surveyed stressors for women in agriculture. The project also brought women together for webinars that focused on skill building, increasing capacity, and tips for topic areas like self care. Minnesota Extension is represented in the Cultivating Resiliency project, in addition to their new rural stress task force.
