Community Engagement

UMASH engages directly with the people affected by and involved in agriculture to build partnerships and create a 2-way flow of information. This includes producers, processors, agri-businesses, public health and health care practitioners, farm family members, and many others.

Throughout the year, UMASH researchers and staff connect with agricultural, scientific and community groups through seminars, meetings, public events, educational/training workshops, conferences, and presentations to share research findings, provide safety training and resources, and engage in discussions to learn about emerging needs, trends or challenges that may affect agricultural health and safety.

If you are interested in collaborating with UMASH, arranging a seminar, presentation or other event, or just looking for more information on our outreach and engagement activities, please contact Megan Schossow, UMASH Coordinator, at schos021@umn.edu.
