Safety Check in the Spring

Safety Check in the Spring

Long days, busy roads, and big decisions are all a part of the spring season in farming.

Minnesota Corn Growers Association’s Jonathan Eisenthal interviewed UMASH Director, Bruce Alexander, as a late spring descended on the Upper Midwest to talk about safety. With spring activities, farmers are under additional pressure to get a lot done in a short time frame, which can lead to fatigue and increased risks. The interview reminds farmers to keep safety a priority by using UMASH tools with family and employees. Alexander emphasized Farm Safety Check, a good diet and hydration, and extra care on the roadways.

Have a safe and successful spring plant!
