The Carver County Dairy Expo is an annual event to bring dairy farmers, educators and dairy exhibitors together to support the dairy industry in the area.
UMASH-ers Chela Vazquez and Carol Peterson attended the event on February 17, in Norwood Young America to learn more about the issues facing dairy farmers and to offer resources and education.
We highlighted our new resource Dairy Animal Handling Training Guides which offer producers options for training themselves and their workers on the best way to handle and move dairy cows. These guides accompany our 5 Stockmanship videos and provide for on farm training that is convenient and for owners and workers. The English and Spanish guides can be accessed online or can be downloaded and printed.
Being part of the Carver County Dairy Expo gives UMASH an opportunity to connect with farmers and others who support the dairy industry in Minnesota.
