The Big Iron Farm Show was held September 12 – 14 at the fairgrounds in West Fargo, ND. Carol Peterson from UMASH and Marsha Cheyney from the Great Plains Center for Agricultural Health joined forces to represent our ag centers. Big Iron was a new show for both centers and we found attendees came from a large area, including South Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, Canada in addition to North Dakota
Both Carol and Marsha promoted the upcoming National Farm Safety and Health Week to the media, other exhibitors and potential colleagues from North Dakota. UMASH surveyed on farm safety concerns, attitudes and behaviors. Great Plains focus promoted roadway safety and whole body vibration effects. Big Iron was a great opportunity to reach new farmers with our information and resources.
