Safety messages were shown throughout the 12th annual Ag Symposium on February 19, 2020, at the Kato Ballroom in Mankato, Minnesota. South Central College hosted the event to address the needs of the modern ag producer, as demonstrated through the title “New Tools for New Rules.” Keynote speakers this year included Neel Kashkari – President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis -Kit Welchlin, a leadership speaker, and more! The symposium was followed by a social and a taste of Southern Minnesota cooking.
Megan Schossow, Outreach Coordinator, attended and exhibited at the one-day event. The day closed with a viewing of Silo and an EMS panel discussion emphasizing the need for health and safety on the farm. RF-DASH trainer Jim Zwaschka emphasized the importance of training and prevention when working around grain bins.
