UMASH at 2016 WPHA – WALHDAB Annual Conference

reyes-newsUMASH participated in the 2016 Wisconsin Public Health Association – Wisconsin Association of Local Health Departments and Boards (WPHA – WALHDAB) Annual Conference at Appleton, Wisconsin, May 24-26, 2016.

Iris Reyes, MPH, Research Specialist with the National Farm Medicine Center and Research Specialist with the UMASH Project Seguridad en las Lecherias: Immigrant Dairy Worker Health and Safety Project presented a poster on the recently published AJIM (American Journal of Industrial Medicine) article that discusses how the undocumented status of Wisconsin dairy farm workers is an occupational hazard. Ms. Reyes serves on the Executive Committee of the newly formed Community Health Worker section at WPHA.
