Events and Campaigns

UMASH engages directly with the people affected by and involved in agriculture to build partnerships, share resources, and encourage discussion and action around existing and emerging agricultural health and safety issues.

Throughout the year, UMASH researchers and staff stay connected with agricultural communities, producers, educators, healthcare professionals, government representatives, and other farm safety partners through a wide variety of in person and virtual formats to share research findings, provide safety training and resources, and engage in discussions to learn about emerging needs, trends or challenges that may affect agricultural health and safety.

Annual Ag Health and Safety Awareness Campaigns

Each year since 1944, the third week of September has been recognized as National Farm Safety and Health Week. This recognition has been an annual promotion initiated by the National Safety Council and has been proclaimed as such by each sitting U.S. President since Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the first document.
